What we collect

• Information you send us: your name, phone number, email address, the details of your request, and any document scans you attach to a quote request or email.
• Appointment records required of a California notary public, including the notary journal entries that state law requires us to keep.
• Basic website analytics, such as which pages were visited and the general region a visit came from, and a cookie that remembers your language choice if you use the translation switch.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your request, quote the work, perform the service, and keep the records California law requires of a notary public. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for advertising.

Documents you send us

Scans sent for a translation or apostille quote are used only to quote and complete that work. Translation working files are retained only as long as needed to support the finished translation and any follow-up your agency requests, and are then deleted. We do not publish or reuse client documents as samples.

The notary journal

California requires a notary public to record each notarial act in a sequential journal, including the signer’s name, the document type, the identification relied on, and, for powers of attorney and real property documents, the signer’s thumbprint. The journal is a legal record, is kept in our sole custody, and is not shared except as California law allows or a court orders.

Cookies and third parties

This site uses a small number of third-party services, and each sees only what it needs to do its job:

• Google Website Translator, if you switch the site to Russian or Ukrainian. It sets a cookie recording the language you chose.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site.
• Our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs and receives contact form submissions.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The site works without them; only the language switch depends on one.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything that is not part of a record California law requires us to keep. Call or text (916) 996-5028 or email ShishkoServices@gmail.com and we will respond.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Notarizations involving a minor are arranged by the minor’s parent or guardian.
